Attention to detail extends to the engine range as well, aggressive targets were set for both performance and economy. Engine options include the 1.8 DOHC 16V with 5 speed manual tranmission, the 2.0 DOHC 16V with CVT automatic transmission and the 2.0 16V 4-cylinder turbo diesel 6 speed manual. This produces with 46.3 combined MPG (Diesel Manual).

| Transmissions
There's a range of tranmission options to suit all drivers. Choose between the 5 speed manual, 6 speed manual or the CVT (Continuously Variable Transaxle) automatic transmission which uses a system of belts and pulleys instead of gears for smooth, efficient driving performance.

| Handling & Performance
Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) is designed to assist drivers in maintaining control of their vehicle during extreme steering manoeuvres (standard on SXT). ESP senses when a vehicle is starting to spin (oversteer) or plough (understeer), and attempts to correct the vehicle's course by automatically controlling the throttle and applying the brakes at individual wheels. The control you'll feel is astonishing.
